Directions to the inn from the west:  Take 36E toward Stillwater, and after passing the light at Washington (you’ll see Walmart and Applebees on the right), get into the left lane to take the next left at the stoplight at Greeley.  Go about 1 mi. on Greeley to the first 3-way stop at Churchill Street and turn right onto Churchill.  We are 3 blocks down on the left-hand side, and you can turn left onto Harriet St. to park in our driveway.

Directions to the inn from downtown Stillwater:  Take any street west (up the hill) from Main Street to Third Street and turn left onto Third.  Go up the hill (past the historic courthouse) and continue to the stop sign at Churchill Street, then turn right onto Churchill.  Stay on Churchill approx. 8 blocks and we are on the right-hand side.  Turn right onto Harriet St. to park in our driveway.

Directions to the inn from the airport:  Get onto Highway 494 East, and you will follow that for some time (approx. 17 miles).  Take the Highway 36E exit toward Stillwater, travel approx. 7 miles and after passing the light at Washington (you’ll see Walmart and Applebees on the right), get into the left lane to take the next left at the stoplight at Greeley.  Go about 1 mi. on Greeley to the first 3-way stop at Churchill Street and turn right onto Churchill.  We are 3 blocks down on the left-hand side, and you can turn left onto Harriet St. to park in our driveway

Guest Parking

Guests should park in the semi-circle drive. Please park at either end of the driveway where it widens, pulling to the side so that someone else may park beside you. Do not park in the middle of the driveway or you may be boxed in. Guest parking on the street is not allowed.

Prices are subject to change, please inquire about current pricing. Click on our Pricing link at the left to see standard room prices. Prices on holidays need to be checked by clicking on the Check Availability Online link at the left.

Inn Policies

Shoes

We would appreciate if you would remove your shoes upon entering the inn to preserve our historic floors.  You may want to bring slippers or booties if you are more comfortable.

Paying for Your Room

Although we take a credit card number at the time of your reservation to guarantee arrival, that card is not charged until you arrive. At that time payment may be made by presenting a credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express), or by check or cash.

Cancellations

You are free to cancel until 10 days prior to your reservation date. After that, the room belongs to you. We will, however, try to re-book it for you.

Check-in and Check-out Times

Check-in is only from 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. unless arranged with the innkeeper in advance.
Checkout by 11:00 a.m. the morning following your stay.

Smoking Policy

We are a non-smoking inn.

Candles

Burning candles is not allowed anywhere in the inn, by order of the Fire Marshall.

Damage to the Inn

Any damage to The James Mulvey Inn or property therein by any careless, negligent or willful acts by any guest will be paid for in full by that guest, in an amount up to $10,000.
